Kalos-Sthénos is a permanent installation from french artist Fanny Allié, commissioned by Rubis Mécénat for the Parc des Sens in Saint-Priest, France.

I designed Kalos-Sthénos, a park bench in the form of a young man working out. The model for this bench was doing street workout in Thompkins Square, Manhattan, NY, when I asked him to pose for me. The bench is a positive, poetic and vibrant presence within the Parc des Sens, aiming to gather young and older alike and to initiate a dialogue around its shape.

Kalos-Sthénos is the second installation from Fanny Allié in Saint-Priest. Her first artwork, Les Voyageurs, is a series of 42 human figures made out of nylon string realized in situ on one of the walls of the Société du Dépôt de Saint-Priest, a Rubis group subsidiary.
